Refund Policy

We want you and your pet to love every order from Companion Nest. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.

Return Window

You may return most items within 15 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the product price.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused, unworn, and in their original condition
  • In the original packaging with all tags and accessories included
  • Free of pet hair, odors, or signs of use

Items That Cannot Be Returned

For health and safety reasons, the following items are final sale and cannot be returned:

  • Opened food, treats, or consumables
  • Used grooming tools, brushes, or combs
  • Worn or used collars, harnesses, leashes, or apparel
  • Items that have been opened and used by a pet
  • Gift cards
  • Final sale or clearance items (marked at the time of purchase)

If a final-sale item arrives damaged or defective, contact us — we’ll make it right.

How to Start a Return

  1. Email us at callbob@companionnest.store within 15 days of delivery with:
    • Your order number
    • The item(s) you’d like to return
    • The reason for the return
    • A photo if the item arrived damaged or defective
  2. We’ll reply within one business day with return instructions and a return address.
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging and ship it back using a trackable shipping method.

Please do not send items back without contacting us first — we can’t guarantee they’ll be received or processed.

Return Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, damaged in transit, defective product): we’ll cover return shipping and send a prepaid label.
  • If the return is for any other reason (changed your mind, didn’t fit, pet didn’t like it): you’re responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and keeping your receipt. We can’t issue refunds for returns that are lost in transit and weren’t tracked.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll send you an email confirming approval or rejection of the refund.

  • Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 3–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Exchanges

We don’t process direct exchanges. If you’d like a different size, color, or product, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order. This is the fastest way to get what you need.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or with the wrong items, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at callbob@companionnest.store. Include your order number and photos of the issue. We’ll send a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.

Sale Items

Items purchased on sale or with a discount code are eligible for return under the same terms, but the refund amount will reflect the discounted price you paid.

Gifts

If an item was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a store credit for the value of the return. If it wasn’t marked as a gift, the refund will go to the original purchaser.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund after 10 business days from our confirmation email:

  1. Check your bank account again
  2. Contact your credit card company — it may take time before the refund posts
  3. Contact your bank — there’s often processing time before a refund appears
